Those four members all have tech company backgrounds such as Yahoo and Microsoft.
In 2021, the company said it had more than 69 million users worldwide, some main media would use this service to pick up some interesting stories.

Nextdoor Verdict
Nextdoor is a well-established platform designed to connect neighbors around the world. Over time, it has continually updated and implemented new functions and features to create a current and safe environment for people to connect and get to know each other.
The platform has earned respect in mainstream media, often featuring stories about its positive impact. While some negative reports exist, primarily related to discriminatory posts from certain user groups, these are not representative of the platform as a whole.
There have been occasional reports of scams, but with the usual precautions in mind, Nextdoor is not heavily plagued by scammers. How to join Nextdoor
To join Nextdoor is very easy and simple. First make sure you select the right country, which would direct users to the right site.
First type in a name, this can be a full name or a nickname. There are a mixture of users using both.
Next the location.
Then the date of birth.
Next would be the phone verification, this is nice and quick.
Now people need to pick a picture but this stage can be skipped by clicking the sign on the top right. There are a mixture of users who would use a picture and who would not.
It is very interesting to be asked for “emergency contact” on a social networking service. This can also be skipped.
This process would allow Next Door to sync your contact on this service. Again this step can be skipped.
They would ask you if you would allow Nextdoor to access your Contact to send some invasion letters. This can also be skipped.
People need to agree to this Pledge, basically be nice to others on this service.
This would be the first post. But again, people can skip this.
Now, people can see the main page of the service.
How to use Nextdoor
They would keep asking to sync the contact. It would speed up to connect people you know if you share this information.
Now, joiners can write something to the neighborhood page or read some posts to know what is happening in your area.
The Discover section would show you the events in the local area.
There is a market place, there might be a bargen in the local area.
Message section would work as a normal message service.
They would ask you numerous times to sync your contact!!

There are some charges for placing ads on this service, the charges are above. This only applies to business account holders.

It is very interesting to see that they are placed 4th in the News category. It shows 1.5M downloads and 4.7 rating. Also, there is a relatively young age restriction of 12+.

On Google App Store, Nextdoor shows more than 10M downloads. Also, their rating is PG.
How to delete an account on Nextdoor
To delete an account on Nextdoor is a bit complicated compared to some other social networking services.
The fastest way would be to go to the Help Center and type” delete account”. And the link would be there.
This contact form would appear.
Then construct a message following the form.
And click submit.
You would get this deleting confirmation email. Then you need to reply to them with the right message.
After you confirm the delete, you would still keep getting their messages which is annoying.

Nextdoor’s Facebook page has not been updated since 2020. It shows some negative comments regarding this service.
Nextdoor X
Nextdoor maintained an official presence on X (Twitter) until 2020, but they do not post on here now which is the same as their Facebook page. They still have about 43K followers but they do not utilize this platform.
They used to use the platform as a communication channel to engage with its user community and share updates related to the platform. Their account commonly features company announcements regarding platform updates, new features, partnerships, and other significant developments.

Nextdoor also maintained an official presence on Instagram. Nextdoor’s Instagram account has been utilized as a visual platform to engage with its user community and share updates and content related to the platform. They have 219 K followers.
Here, they are very active and regularly post photos and videos.

Nextdoor is also active on tiktok, they have about 1.4M likes. They post various videos from cute animals to food eating.
